The Health Reality in Northern Ghana
Cumulative data captured across Northern Health Shield mobile clinics reveals an urgent public-health reality. These are clinical screening results pending confirmation.
Hepatitis B Infection
Approximately 1 in 46 individuals tested had a reactive Hepatitis B result. Early detection enables counselling, confirmatory assessment, appropriate care and vaccination of eligible non-reactive participants.
Hepatitis C Infection
Approximately 1 in 38 individuals tested had a reactive Hepatitis C antibody result. Because Hepatitis C can remain asymptomatic for years, screening provides a pathway to confirmatory testing and potentially curative treatment.
HIV Infection
Approximately 1 in 654 individuals tested had a reactive HIV result. Mobile screening enables confidential counselling, confirmatory testing and linkage to life-saving antiretroviral treatment and continuing care.
Based on cumulative live data from the Shield App, approximately 1 in every 24 people tested at our clinics had a reactive result for at least one of Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C or HIV.
Clinical results pending confirmation: these figures come from rapid point-of-care screening and are subject to confirmatory testing.
Sponsor an Entire Northern Health Shield Event
A fully funded grant of $27,000 USD deploys 77 clinicians, screens 1,000 villagers, administers 850+ vaccines, and delivers comprehensive WASH and dignity supplies to a remote village.

Pivoted SDG Impact Tree
Our streamlined operational grid bypasses physical infrastructure bottlenecks to deliver direct, auditable outcomes and sustainable clean water, proving how we work with local communities to solve systemic gaps.
SDG 3: GOOD HEALTH & WELL-BEING
‘Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages’
Health is the foundation of community survival. Our mobile medical grid delivers immediate rapid screening and immunizations to stop preventable viral epidemics before they take a single life.
- Target 3.3: End Communicable Epidemics
- Target 3.7: Access to Integrated Care
SDG 4: QUALITY EDUCATION
‘Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all’
Education is the ultimate escape route from generational poverty. Eliminating parasitic worm loads keeps children healthy, active, and in the classroom ready to learn.
- Target 4.5: Eliminate Gender Disparities
- Attendance & Nutrition Boosts
SDG 5: GENDER EQUALITY
‘Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls’
Natural biological cycles should never limit educational or life opportunities. Providing menstrual hygiene resources directly protects female dignity and safety, keeping girls in school.
- Target 5.5: Women's Full Participation
- Menstrual Dignity & Period Freedom
SDG 6: CLEAN WATER & SANITATION
‘Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all’
Access to clean water is a fundamental human right. Our borehole anchor provides permanent, safe water to eradicate deadly waterborne pathogens like typhoid and cholera at their source.
- Target 6.1: Safe & Affordable Water
- Target 6.B: Community-Led WASH
SDG 10: REDUCED INEQUALITIES
‘Reduce inequality within and among countries’
No child should suffer simply because of where they are born. By funding last-mile transport, we bring life-saving vaccines directly to the most remote, unreached farming communities.
- Target 10.2: Social & Economic Inclusion
- Gavi Logistics Leverage Model
